Catch up time

Well the 2022 blog was a bit of a washout. Ha.

I think I set off with good intentions but settled into a groove that didn't involve sitting on my computer every morning tapping out a blog entry. If I remember correctly, things were still a bit weird in the aftermath of COVID. In fact, we all went down with COVID while we were there. I guess it was pretty much inevitable being in such a busy place.

We stayed at Disney's Beach Club Resort for a change. It was a beautiful resort and walkable to EPCOT. It also has (they say) the best pool at Disney World. We've stayed in quite a few of the resorts over the years and would probably agree. The hotel was fabulous but it was definitely a 'one and done' resort for me. Even though The Polynesian is so overpriced, it's our 'home' when we go to Disney World so this year we have to go back.

In 2025, to keep costs down a little, we've decided on a split stay. We're going to do 1 week at Universal Studios Cabana Bay and 2 weeks at The Polynesian. Usually when we get settled into the Disney 'thing' it's hard to drag ourselves over to Universal Studios and that part of our holiday is usually pretty rushed. This way we get 7 days to check it all out properly and take our time. Epic Universe will also be open this Summer so let's see if it's as good as it looks from the previews.
