Day 18 (Sunday 25th)
"Alarm Clock"

This is not a good sign of things to come back in England.
We had to set the alarm today for 6:45am. ACK! It was soooo hard to wake up but even harder to wake the boys up. I'd made reservations at The Crystal Palace in The Magic Kingdom 6 months ago for a character breakfast with Winnie The Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet.
We all somehow managed to get motivated and were at the monorail station for 7:30am to be at the restaurant for 8:05am.
The park didn't open until 9pm and it was a great feeling walking down a deserted Main Street USA towards the castle. We got some great photos with the Photopass+ photographers and can't wait to download them at the end of the holiday.
There was a fab selection of food on this breakfast buffet although Josh stuck to just bacon and watermelon ;-)
I'm not a huge fan of breakfast buffet food as the temptation is always there to eat much more food than you need but this one was OK. They even had breakfast lasagne and breakfast pizza!
We got some good photo's with the characters and the boys got their autograph books signed.
After a quick detour to say Hi to the Dapper Dans on Main Street we went over to Storybook Circus to meet Minnie, Daisy, Goofy and Donald. Once again, some great Photopass photos to bring home with us and the boys enjoyed goofing around with Goofy.
It was then time to ride Dumbo the flying elephant. This is an iconic disney parks ride and I think i've only ridden it once in 25 years! We all went on this and had fun looking out over the Magic Kingdom as the elephants rose into the air.
Onto Goofy's barnstormer next, a kids rollercaoster ride but actually pretty good. Lot's of great twists and drops.
Where next? Where else but the 'mountains'....First up, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad....excellent....then straight next door to Splash Mountain. Again....the best flume ride ever!
It was almost 1pm so Starbucks time again. As we were leaving, The Dapper Dans appeared so we hung around to watch their show and then left to catch the monorail to the hotel.
The plan now was to get a little pool time but once again the weather changed from red hot sunny to red hot peeing it down :-)
An hour or so chilling in the room until it cleared then it was off to EPCOT for the evening.
Jack fell asleep in his stroller on the way over on the monorail which was fine, he really needed to catch up on some zzzzz's. Josh rode The Sum Of All Fears, a huge robot arm that throws the rider all over the place while they look at a screen of a scene they created previously. A motion sickness sufferers worst nightmare! It didn't bother him one bit though, he loved it. A motion sickness sufferers second worst nightmare is a ride called Mission: Space. I can only avoid this ride for so long and Josh and I jumped in the queue.
This ride simulates a rocket launch into space. It's brilliantly done and you can really feel the G-Force as your rocket is jettisoned into space. We do the launch and slingshot around the moon before hitting an asteroid field. After our crew has navigated that, the systems fail and we have to make an emergency landing on Mars. It's an intense ride and it really makes me want to hurl every time I ride it but Josh loved it and that's all that matters :-)
We then woke Jack up and the boys went on a secret agent mission with Agent P (Phineas and Ferb) in China and pretty much saved the world from Doofenshmirtz. You have Josh and Jack to thank if you are reading this right now :-)
After this, Josh wanted to eat chicken tacos in Mexico so we sat there overlooking the lagoon and ordered those for Josh and the less adventurous chicken tenders for Jack.
Joanne then had pork chops and mashed potato in The Land before we rode Soarin' one more time then at 9pm we decided to call quits.
It had been a loooong day and it was time to rest for tomorrow. We had planned a nice and relaxing day at Blizzard Beach for our final Monday of the holiday.
We took the monorail back to the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC) and walked back to our hotel. The Polynesian is the only hotel you can walk to from the TTC and it really makes a difference after those long days to be able to do that.
The boys fell asleep within minutes. Yet another fab day.
