Day 1 - Universal Studios
Up and running....
Well we don't have our Disney World passes until tomorrow so off we go to Universal Studios.
I'm going to make this one short and sweet because it's Saturday morning here and we're itching to get moving and into the Magic Kingdom.
Joanne and I wake up around 7am (damn you bodyclock) and decide to unpack while the boys are sleeping. We manage it and the room looks tidy (a first for us) with everything hung up and away. Josh and Jack wake up so it's showers and over to Captain Cooks (our hotel quick service restaurant) for breakfast burritos and sandwiches and then a quick trip to 7-Eleven for Slurpees on the way to Universal.
Universal Studios was great. We're not huge fans of this park but we had a fab day. Jack is now tall enough to ride 'big boy rides' so we rode The Incredible Hulk, Dr Doom, Spider-man and got absolutely DRENCHED on Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls. We wanted to take this day semi-easy so after that lot we headed out of the park (via Cinnabon of course) and went over to the Mall At Millenia area and had a good dinner at Olive Garden (italian).
And then to finish off we're back to the Polynesian for pool slide time until 11pm (and the hot tub which is just amazing in 90 degree heat. We don't know why that works but it does). When we get back to the room we pretty much just pass out. Saturday we would start out Disney passes so we were ready to get back into or favourite parks.
