Day 7 - Resting (Part 2)
Pool and Magic Kingdom
tired.com
Another late start so we decided to hop in the car and drive out for breakfast. Perkins is good for breakfast as the boys both love the hash browns over here. Bacon, Sausage, Eggs, Toast, Hash Browns, Omlettes.........and a cheeseburger....Jack's last minute choice for breakfast. To be fair it was lunchtime so we'll let it go :-)
A detour to the Tommy Hilfiger store to see if they have a hoodie in the right size for Josh which we'd seen the other day and result! It's in. I think Josh is going to have expensive tastes in clothes as he gets older. They both scrub up really well this holiday though. Looking sharp....
Afternoon pool time and Josh and Jack are in the room playing iPads for a while so Joanne and I manage to grab a spot by the pool together for some 'kid free' time. Looking out over Seven Seas Lagoon to the Magic Kingdom and seeing Cinderella Castle will never get old to us. The Polynesian is just perfect for us. The atmosphere here is second to none and add the that the fact we can just hop on a monorail and be in Magic Kingdom within 10 minutes is just perfect.
Anyway, 5 minutes later we're both fast asleep. No idea how long we were there but the kids wake us up a little later and they have a 30 minute splash around/slide fun and we go get ready to head into the Magic Kingdom. Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor and Space Mountain is all we manage tonight as we've decided to drive out to Pizza Hut for some reason. We are a bit stalled with theme park food at the moment. Not the dessert stuff, there are sooooooooo many sweet things we still want to try and before leave the Magic Kingdom we treat ourselves to a warm cinnamon roll and a tankard of LeFou's Brew (non alcoholic) at Gaston's Tavern, a brilliant themed area based on Beauty and The Beast. We all have a few bites and drinks of these treats, it's better to share otherwise we'd all be 2 stone heavier by now.
A drive out of Disney is good though and we feast on breadsticks, pizza and fizzy drinks. I can feel the calories being washed down but hey.....who cares?
I like Pizza Hut over here a bit more than in the UK but still not a fan really. It's a one-off..
Early night tonight (well, 11:15pm) as tomorrow it's hopefully up and out to Volcano Bay, the new water park at Universal Studios.
I feel i'm getting a little lazy with the photos. It's just nice walking around the parks without a camera over my shoulder but i'll make an effort soon, I promise....
or post as a guest

This commment is unpublished.· 13/08/2017Dene, oh Dene, oh Dene. I need to inform you that the word 'RESTING' means relaxing and doing nothing. It doesn't appear you understand that. Xxxx

This commment is unpublished.I agree with your mum - I'm exhausted just reading the blog! Sounds like you are all having an amazing time. You need another holiday when you get back lol xx

This commment is unpublished. You might just be turning me towards a resort hotel, Dene. Always steered away to the Downtown Disney area, so we have some non-Disney time, but you make a compelling argument for the quick hop to the parks. Oh, and sorry to Karen and Mum & Dad, but you don't fly 4,000 miles to rest - too much to do, and no time for sleep! :):):)

This commment is unpublished.@Dave Lancaster Oh yeah, absolutely Dave, we WANT to rest but it's like getting carried away by a wave. We just go with the flow. Yeah, staying here suits us. It's definitely not Disney 'in your face' 24/7 but the convenience is great, especially for Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. In fact we need to think about going to the Studios at some point. Need some Toy Story Mania fun soon!!!!
